Tam & Bob Waterman first met in 2013 on Voyager of the Seas while sailing the South Pacific from Sydney, Australia. Bob flew in from Florida, and Tam traveled from Victoria, Australia.
We met each other at 5:30 a.m. taking photos of the sunrise as our ship arrived in Fiji. After watching the sunrise and chatting for two or three hours, we went about their separate ways. Over the remainder of the cruise, we kept on running into each other – as one tends to do with new friends onboard – and we grew closer and closer. After the cruise returned to Sydney, we both returned home but stayed in touch.
Over the next couple of years, we decided to meet again and again on cruises together in Europe, Australia, Alaska, and the Caribbean. Fast forward to 2017 ― we got married and have taken 13 Royal Caribbean cruises together so far ! Bob Retired in 2019 and after staying put for two years during COVID, the adventure is about to begin in full and you will have a front row seat!
